As we embark on this new part of our journey, Medium Giant is looking to hire a highly strategic Vice President of Client Leadership to play an integral role in fostering and growing our agency business.
The most important role of Client Leadership is to create the conditions for great work to be created, sold, and delivered. This position will head our Client Leadership team, leading and supporting our accounts within the agency to ensure we create the conditions for great work to happen. You will champion and take responsibility for delivering quality work that meets the’s needs and addresses their business challenges through effective management of the Client Leadership team and by leading and inspiring others inside and outside the agency.
You will be responsible for your team's career development in growing our agency's future leaders, and you will regularly be involved with pitches for new business growth and organic growth from current accounts.
The VP, Client Leadership directs the implementation (through your team) of all client projects so that they run smoothly and flawlessly, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met or exceeded. The role oversaw the team's work on the client’s budget to deliver the greatest value for the client’s dollars and acts as an advisor for internal and external clients.
Working with
Internal: Agency management/leadership team/SMEs; Agency account leadership team, including planners/strategists; Creative teams and directors; Media Planners and Buyers, Creative services and production staff; Developers, New business team; Human resources; Finance/accounts.
External: Client marketing team, including Marketing Director; Client procurement personnel; Other agency partners; New business opportunity contacts.
The position will report to the President of the agency, with access to the President. You will also work closely with the Finance Director on account profitability and financial stewardship.
You will manage the leaders of your team, being accountable for their performance and providing them with professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
Lead an account team that manages client accounts within the agency, with overall responsibility for the client/agency relationship.
Work with SME partners to ensure client briefs are ingested and actioned appropriately.
Ensure the profitability and growth of client accounts.
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients.
Negotiate contracts and fees with marketing directors and client procurement personnel.
Manage the team and the work, performance, and professional development of team members.
Lead and inspire those outside the core team, including creative, strategy, media, and digital teams working on the same account.
Report key financial and team data to the agency’s senior leadership, working closely on monthly flash reports and annual planning.
Work closely with the Operations team to constantly evaluate and optimize our work process.
Maintain a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting our agency accounts and developments in the broader advertising and communications industry.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising or related field.
Minimum 15 years of advertising/marketing experience with at least eight years managing a team.
