The Residential Step Down Program facility promotes the wellness and recovery of individuals with substance use and related disorders. Residential step-down programs are sub-acute, short-term, residential services that provide support and access to outpatient treatment in a 24-hour staffed, open home-like environment. RSD provides temporary, drug and alcohol-free environment to residents that are actively engaged in outpatient treatment for medically necessary SUD provided to the client off-site.

The Program Supervisor is responsible for daily operations and direct management of the Residential Step Down staff. Through supervision and training, the Program Supervisor ensures care and safety is provided with cultural competency and process is functioning efficiently and in compliance with contracts and rules for the program . The supervisor is a representative of the management team and participates in management meetings as required by the program.

Key Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities

Ensues contract compliance, facility management and overall operations of Residential Step Down facility.

Ensures bed capacity is maximized at all times.

Coordinates with the intake/referral department to ensure smooth and effective admission processes for new clients and high utilization of the facility

Assists with crisis intervention and sees it through completion.

Serves as the point person for intakes and referrals from internal and external sources.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides immediate supervision and guidance to the staff of the program;

Responsible for recruitment, hiring, direct supervision, and on‑going training of all program staff; Ensures staff is familiar with program policies, procedures, and practices;

Coordinates staff coverage, reviews and responds to vacation requests, and coordinates program services.

Facility Management Responsibilities

Responsible for all operational functions of Residential Step Down Program, including but not limited to maintenance, program supplies, meals, & medical needs of clients;

Responsible for safety and security of the facility.

Administration and Compliance

In accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements, ensures that staff maintains accurate documentation on all clients.

Perform regular audits to ensure contract compliance;

Coordinates with staff to make necessary corrections on all Electronic Health Records (EMR) discrepancies within a timely manner.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualifications Education Required

Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification or Licensure(CADAAC, CAADE); or

At least 4 years experience in substance abuse prevention/treatment programs in a residential setting;

2 years experience in clinical and case management in a supervisory capacity;

Valid CA Driver’s License;

First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment;

CPR Certified within 30 days of employment

Preferred

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, or social work

Licensed MFT or LCSW in the state of California;

4 years experience providing behavioral health services

Required

Must not be on active parole or probation

Must complete a background check and livescan.

Preferred

Bilingual/Bicultural in Chinese, Vietnamese, Khmer (Cambodian) Tagalog and/or Ilocano, Laotian, or Spanish.
