Accounting Manager
to join our finance team. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity, while driving process improvements in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Role Overview As the
Accounting Manager , you will lead the accounting operations, manage month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate closely with finance, FP&A, and other departments. You’ll ensure compliance with GAAP and oversee internal controls, helping to strengthen the financial health of the organization. This position is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who thrives in a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the
monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
Manage the preparation of
financial statements
in accordance with
GAAP
Lead
accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
activities
Supervise a small team of accountants and provide coaching, guidance, and professional development
Ensure compliance with
internal controls
and regulatory requirements, continuously identifying areas for improvement
Collaborate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules as needed
Oversee
revenue recognition
and SaaS-specific accounting matters, ensuring proper application of
ASC 606
Monitor
cash flow, balance sheet
reconciliations, and operational expenses to ensure alignment with forecasts
Drive the improvement of accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability
Support the finance team in
budgeting, forecasting,
and variance analysis
Prepare detailed
financial reports
and present insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in
Accounting, Finance , or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
5-7+ years
of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the
SaaS or technology
industry
Solid understanding of
GAAP
and experience with
ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition)
Experience managing
month-end close ,
financial reporting , and compliance with internal controls
Proficient in
accounting software
and ERP systems (experience with
NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Intacct
is a plus)
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead and mentor accounting staff
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Experience working in a
public accounting firm
or in a
SaaS
or
tech
environment is highly desirable
