Nemours Children’s Health seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola. Deliver exceptional surgical and non-surgical care, collaborate with a dedicated pediatric team, and contribute to education and quality improvement in a leading nonprofit health system.
Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon – Nemours Children’s Health, Pensacola, FL This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive pediatric orthopedic care in a state-of-the-art facility while engaging in academic and quality initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Evaluating and treating patients with advanced diagnostic and surgical skills in pediatric orthopedics.
Collaborating with pediatric residents and subspecialists in a 64-bed children’s hospital with a dedicated pediatric ED and Level II trauma center.
Rounding with pediatric residents and participating in academic programs, including medical education and research.
Developing and adhering to clinical patient pathways for standardized, high-quality care.
Providing inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call responsibilities.
Ensuring proper documentation for insurance requirements and appealing denials promptly.
Work in a supportive environment with access to Cerner EMR, a regional pediatric dialysis center, and onsite Ronald McDonald House facilities.
Requirements
MD or DO degree.
Board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery with a completed pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship.
Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA.
Commitment to patient-centered care, education, and quality improvement.
