The Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, that has the largest residency program in the country and is one of the largest and best departments in the US, is seeking academic, board‑certified medical and cosmetic dermatologists with a strong academic track record and/or academic productivity and publications to join its growing faculty. The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is an international leader in medical and scientific training, biomedical research, and patient care. It is located in NYC, offering a vibrant academic and professional community with excellent schools, arts, and everything that NY has to offer. The Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai has 40 renowned faculty across several locations and is dedicated to delivering superior, comprehensive dermatologic care, advancing the science of dermatology through research and education. The department has made many important contributions to patient care, education, and research over more than a century and is one of the leading departments in the US. We are particularly interested in a senior dermatologist and a junior dermatologist with interest and expertise in skin of color, as director and associate director of the skin of color center, respectively, based on experience and academic level. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidates, given that our department is a leader in clinical and translational research in skin of color to develop the skin of color center into the leading skin of color center in the US and beyond. The successful candidates will be joining our 27 faculty members and will be offered a highly supportive environment. Responsibilities

Provide medical and/or cosmetic dermatology services and develop clinical, translational, and/or basic research involving conditions related to skin of color (such as keloids, vitiligo, CCCA, etc). Mentor and help develop the next generation of dermatologists. Senior candidate: be part of the department management team and interact with senior hospital and school leadership. Experience in lasers and cosmetic procedures, including for skin of color. Robust interest in academics, teaching, scholarly projects, and clinical/translational or basic research, particularly in conditions involving patients of color. Strong academic record of publications and research. Track record of foundation/NIH grants (particularly senior candidate). Collegial and team‑player mindset. Experience in clinical trials. Board Certified or Board Eligible. Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the State of New York. Track record academic productivity, research and publications, including in skin of color. Experience in clinical trials and/or clinical/translational research is a plus. Expertise in cosmetic procedures and lasers is a plus. Compensation

Compensation range from $300,000 to $600,000 (not including bonuses/incentive compensation or benefits). Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
