The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be self-driven to work across various organizations across Apple, balance multiple assignments in parallel, and have the acumen and strength to persuade and influence stakeholders. Description As a Software Engineer - Tools & Automation in the Networking Operations team, you will be responsible for accelerating software development workflows for bug triage, continuous integration and presubmission testing. Your role will include: - implementation of scripts and tools to support our engineering development workflow - creation of reports and dashboards to improve our submission and triage operations - troubleshooting of networking related features, across a variety of Apple platforms
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent networking software development experience
Passion for automation
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-functional engineering team
Experience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems
Experience with source code management using git
Experience designing and implementing software automation solutions with languages like Swift and Python
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large language models (Apple Foundation Models, Claude, Gemini, or other LLMs)
Experience with macOS and iOS development tools (Xcode, Instruments, XCUITest)
Experience with search and analytics engines like Splunk or Elastic Search
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality
Experience with Network debugging tools (e.g. packet sniffers, protocol analyzers, ...)
Lab management experience and configuration of network equipments (Switches, Routers, NATs, Firewalls, VMs, …) in lab environment a plus
Wireless and Cellular technologies experience a plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
