Bambini is seeking a bilingual preschool director for our Spanish Immersion Education Center. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, loving, high quality, educational environment that maximizes intellectual, physical and emotional growth and development in our young students from three months of age up to five years of age. Bambini strives in fostering the acquisition and development of a foreign language as important as Spanish. We do this by immersing our students in Spanish throughout the entire time that they attend classes at the center. The qualified teachers assigned to your child’s class are fluent in Spanish and this is their native tongue. Parents are strongly encouraged to exclusively utilize English or the family’s primary language at home. What you bring as a Team Member:
Director We are seeking a visionary leader to empower and support leading educators in achieving excellence, inspiring children to become lifelong learners through our play-based curriculum. Our affectionate and nurturing staff ensure that our children are instilled with the knowledge to succeed. We are looking for candidates that are as passionate about the growth and development of children as we are.
The position of Director requires comprehensive knowledge of local childcare staffing and licensing requirements as well as the ability to manage a large school through strong leadership and organization, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. Your day is spent managing two key areas: Relationships and the Facility. A commitment to making the site successful through empowering team members and developing meaningful relationships with children, families, team members, regulatory agencies, and the local community is essential. Directors are responsible for managing their assigned site in all areas of staffing, enrollment, and the physical facility. Your day may be filled with hiring, hosting enrollment events, scheduling maintenance, budgeting and reporting, staff development, or addressing parent or licensing questions.

Requirements:
Must have a bachelor’s or more advanced degree with at least 15 semester credit hours or have earned an associate’s degree with a major in early childhood education or early childhood development and have at least 3 years supervised occupational experience working with children in a licensed DC Child Development Center or its equivalent in another jurisdiction. Must be bilingual in Spanish.
