The Role We Want You For This role is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supporting Clayco, Inc. and its subsidiaries. In this position, you will play a key role in driving financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and leading modeling and analysis efforts across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, deep understanding of GL and Chart of Accounts structures, and the ability to build high-quality models in a fast-paced environment.
The Specifics of the Role
Build, maintain, and enhance ad hoc financial models used for forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic planning
Apply strong understanding of General Ledger and Chart of Accounts (COA) structures to support accurate reporting and analysis
Develop and execute financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis for leadership
Partner closely with executives and cross-functional teams to deliver insights and decision support
Perform analytics on actual performance versus budgets and forecasts
Contribute to the standardization and optimization of FP&A processes
Create and maintain dashboard reporting to drive visibility into financial performance
Demonstrate strong Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, modeling, and data structuring
Deliver high-quality, proactive financial support in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment
Perform additional ad hoc analysis and reporting requested by FP&A leadership
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting
Strong understanding of GL/COA structures
Experience with PowerQuery, SQL, or other data transformation tools
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modeling)
Self-motivated and able to excel in a fast-paced, in-office environment
Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience in construction or construction-adjacent industries
MBA or other advanced degree
