Tulane University
The Research Scientist II will assist in the designing and executing experiments, manage the training and utilization of staff and students, and coordinate experiments and allocate research resources. The incumbent in this position will also prepare publications to publish research findings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical skills and competencies to conduct quantifiable, meaningful research.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds at all levels internal and external to the organization.
Ability to work collaboratively as a positive, contributing member of a team.
Ability to keyboard and utilize various standardized word processing, spreadsheet preparation, and presentation software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to prioritize work, performing assignments with minimal supervision.
Required Education and/or Experience
Terminal Degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.V.M., etc.).
A minimum of 5 years of research experience in a relevant field (or area) post terminal degree completion.
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in an academic environment.
More than 5 years’ professional research work experience.
