The Senior Manager, FP&A leads in the delivery of timely and accurate financial data to executive management and department heads. The position plays a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making, managing budgets, and ensuring the optimal use of the organization’s financial resources. This position is required to be on-site at our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Leads, develops, and monitors the annual operating and capital budgets for all 49ers entities and the Santa Clara Stadium Authority.
Recommends budget targets for departments and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall financial strategy and goals.
Executes forward-looking financial insights through advanced modeling, risk assessments, and scenario planning to proactively inform business decisions.
Guides, leads, and manages the work of Financial Analysts. Encourages ongoing training and development of staff and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
Serves as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders across departments to enhance strategic financial insights, support data‑driven decision‑making, and promote collaboration and financial transparency.
Ensures the accuracy and integrity of accounting entries, including reviewing accruals, general ledger coding, and proper classification of operating versus capital expenditures.
Leads special projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
At least 6-8 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 2-4 years of experience directly supervising staff.
Experience working with financial statements and the inter‑dependencies between the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Excel (Advanced Excel modeling skills required), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with Anaplan, or other financial analysis/reporting software.
