Overview Epstein is seeking a
Payroll/Accounting Specialist
to join our Corporate Services team. This position is required to partner with all levels/disciplines within the organization so excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are a must. The selected individual must be dependable, organized, and detail oriented.
Payroll Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and employment laws and requirements
Review and verify timesheets on a weekly basis
Assist HR with other duties
Accounting Responsibilities
Research, verify and process accounts payables, accounts receivables, and vendor invoices
Prepare and release cash disbursements
Establish and maintain accurate accounting files
Identify and ensure proper cost coding
Assist with general accounting duties
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 2 years of successful corporate experience in payroll processing required
ADP Workforce experience is a must; Deltek Vision accounting software experience is preferred
Knowledge and understanding of payroll functions including preparation, processing, balancing and internal control
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Strong technical and analytical aptitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
