Position Summary
The role involves evaluating and optimizing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures by selecting appropriate equipment, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient and equipment safety. Additionally, it requires effective collaboration with medical teams, maintaining high standards of patient care, and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
Reviews and evaluates requisitions for diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.
Confirms procedure specifics with the physician and determines the appropriateness of prescribed procedures given the diagnosis and clinical signs.
Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to optimize image quality and minimize patient radiation exposure.
Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions, ensuring functionality for procedures.
Prepares procedure trays, imaging parameters, and therapeutic equipment according to physician protocols.
Circulates in the room during procedures to assist with equipment and may perform as the physician’s second scrub if needed.
Minimum Requirements Education
Associates degree; Allied Health
Experience
Technologist with training in Diagnostic Radiology. Consideration given to Catheterization Lab technician experience.
License/Certification
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
BLS certification
