Regional Aquatics Director

The Regional Aquatics Director is responsible for developing, leading, and managing high-quality aquatic programs across the East Side (40%) and Newman (60%) YMCA locations. This role oversees all aspects of the Aquatics Department, including pool operations, staffing, safety, and risk management. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff; delivering and expanding swim lessons, swim teams, and recreational swimming; and ensuring strong fiscal management and program growth that meet community needs. The combined aquatics operations serves approximately 300 children and 30 staff each week. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current Lifeguarding certificate required.

Lifeguard Instructor preferred.

Five to eight years of management experience in Aquatic related fields. (Y management experience preferable.) At least 5-7 years of experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor
