The Associate Director (AD) of Latinx/a/o Student Engagement (LSE) at the Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs (APCDIA) reports to the Director of the Center. The AD supports fostering campus-wide awareness, knowledge, and skills around inclusion and equity, and creating a supportive, inclusive environment for a diverse student body. They work to engage multiple student identities, support leaders as social justice change agents, build community, and raise awareness of diverse backgrounds. The AD manages, develops, and assesses programs related to Latinx/a/o student engagement and success, collaborating on intercultural initiatives with campus partners. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver culturally relevant programs supporting Latinx/a/o student retention and graduation. Serve as an educator, advocate, and thought leader on Latinx/a/o student needs and challenges. Collaborate with campus programs to increase Latinx/a/o student recruitment, retention, and success. Provide support and referrals to Latinx/a/o students. Recruit, train, and develop APCDIA student staff. Stay informed on higher education research related to retention and policies. Collaborate on multicultural understanding and civic engagement events. Participate in the Council on the Status of Latinx/a/o. Assist with division-wide retention initiatives. Evaluate and guide student workers and/or work-study students. Support the preparation of program and annual reports. Help develop the Center’s strategic plan and initiatives. Share leadership in the absence of the Director. Create safe spaces, coordinate referrals, and monitor follow-up services. Coordinate among student organizations supporting Blackness and other identities. Supervise student aides as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

At least three years of full-time experience in student affairs at an urban, commuter college or university. Experience advising Latinx/a/o students and student organizations, emphasizing identity development and leadership. Proven ability to work with diverse constituencies on issues of culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and religion. Experience managing and evaluating student staff. Preference for urban, commuter college experience and knowledge of DEI, social justice, and program assessment. This position requires a background check. Salary Range:

$55,000 - $65,000 Benefits:
