Role Summary:

The Java Software Engineer is responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall goal is to contribute to application systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities: Take ownership of assigned development tasks. Ensure timely delivery and meet team expectations. Engage in the entire development lifecycle. Understand requirements from Project Lead and ensure quality deliverables. Maintain quality and optimized coding with proper documentation. Perform peer code reviews. Develop unit plans, perform testing, and improve product experience. Assist Support team as required. Coordinate with business analysts & user communities to define requirements. Participate in technical design. Assist Project Lead in delivering quality output. Contribute to innovative solutions for the business.

Qualifications: 5-8 years of relevant experience. Deep knowledge of Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Spring, Struts, EJB, JavaScript. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and UI development with Bootstrap, Backbone, Node.js, AngularJS. Experience with XML, JSON, REST services. Understanding of exceptions, OOPS, Collections, Multi-threading, session management, Servlets/JSP lifecycle, JDBC, custom tags, context. Experience with Oracle or Sybase databases, SQL scripting, and performance tuning. Knowledge of application servers like Weblogic, JBoss, iPlanet. Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and AngularJS testing. Experience with Microservice Architecture, CI/CD pipelines, build tools (Gradle, Maven), and DevOps tools (OpenShift, Kubernetes). Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
