Job Summary The Canfield Business Honors Program Coordinator provides student services, advising, and program development activities for the Canfield Business Honors Program. The role focuses on first‑year students and at‑risk populations, developing academic and developmental programs to promote community and leadership, and assists in setting and assessing strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Advise Canfield Business Honors Program students, including dual degree students, on course/degree options and university policies, making referrals as necessary. Represent the BHP in weekly BBA advising and orientation planning meetings.

Plan and facilitate cohort programs that promote academic and leadership development; develop partnerships for experiential learning, global experiences, and enrichment opportunities that enhance student college‑to‑career success.

Oversee the Business Honors retention process and organize programs for student success such as Supplemental Instruction, academic boot camps, and individualized academic counseling.

Assist with Canfield BHP sponsored student groups and programs associated with each group.

Participate in the BHP admissions process by reviewing applications and attending recruiting events as needed.

Assist the Assistant Director in designing measures and maintaining databases to evaluate student engagement and college‑to‑career outcomes; acquire and maintain comparative data, track and analyze program effectiveness to advance strategic initiatives.

Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience coordinating a program and performing complex administrative functions in an academic setting.

Experience working with college students in an advisory, program coordination, or administrative capacity.

Effective interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a supportive team.

Demonstrated initiative, problem‑solving, and follow‑through ability.

Strong organization, time‑management, attention to detail and accuracy.

Diplomacy and sound judgment when working with students, families, staff, faculty, and administrators.

Excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills and rapport with varied stakeholders.

Prior experience in higher education.

Experience with academic advising and event management.

Familiarity with UT procedures, including financial transactions.

Salary Range $50,000 annually

Working Conditions

Standard office conditions.

May require evening and weekend hours during peak periods and special events.

Repetitive keyboard use.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Eligible for occasional remote work.
