Craft Recruiter
Reports to: Talent Acquisition Lead
Position Status: Permanent – Full Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
Purpose: Responsible for successfully recruiting/onboarding top craft personnel. This high impact position will have the opportunity to immediately and directly affect the success of H+M’s rapidly growing construction department.
Core Job Responsibilities
Effectively execute full recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, pre-employment testing and onboarding.
Prioritize recruiting needs and quickly change direction as needed to meet business needs.
Foster strong partnership with operations/construction management to achieve recruiting goals.
Continuously strive for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within craft recruiting.
Practice creative and proactive sourcing tactics including the use of internal and external job boards, Boolean searches, social media, and professional/networking groups.
Network to recruit active and passive candidates for current positions and build talent pipelines for future career opportunities.
Flawlessly execute tactical recruiting tasks including: management of incoming requisitions and approvals, accurate and timely updates of requisition status, coordinating pre-employment testing, background checks and drug testing, compiling new hire packets and conduct new hire orientations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Must be fully bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken).
Strong background working in a high-volume, fast paced recruiting environment.
Ability to manage a requisition load of 20+ job openings at a time.
5+ years of high-volume, industrial/field construction recruitment experience.
Experience screening, hiring, sourcing, interviewing, and testing skilled laborers such as welders, pipefitters, foremen, ironworkers, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of EEO, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interview best practices.
Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Sit for long periods of time.
Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch.
Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
