Save Job

Job Summary The Clinical Scheduling Analyst analyzes and determines clinical coverage needs of Parnassus, Mission Bay, and Mt. Zion Hospital Operating Rooms, the Orthopedic Institute, and all off‑site Anesthesia sites, in both operating and non‑operating locations. The analyst then analyzes staffing availability data and develops the staffing of more than 298 anesthesiologists. This requires coordination with individuals charged with CRNA and clinical residents. The analyst must ensure that appropriate coverage is provided to several specialty services in addition to the operating rooms. Staffing deficiencies or inappropriate coverage may cause potential risks to patient safety as well as impact the department’s operating costs. The analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving staffing conflicts, and for notifying principals (faculty, managers, and staff) regarding amendments and modifications. The analyst must ensure faculty are scheduled according to their clinical requirements and annual contracts.

Reporting Relationships The Analyst reports directly to the Clinical Manager of Clinical Anesthesia and indirectly to the Director of Clinical Operations and the Vice Chairs of the Department of Anesthesia.
