NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney is a 320-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility with a 5-Star CMS Quality Rating located in central Brooklyn. McKinney provides exceptional short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing services in a warm and comfortable setting. McKinney residents have 24-hour access to expert care and specialty services including Parkinson’s and Dementia Care, Hospice and Palliative care, IV therapy, wound and tracheostomy care. Duties & Responsibilities

Assists in the organization and coordination of physician services as they relate to patient care quality, and reduction of rehospitalization. Serves as liaison between Department of Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff, oversees on-call coverage schedule. Participates in administrative decision making and recommends and approves relevant policies and procedures and will be responsible for communicating issues and concerns to system clinical leadership when warranted. With the Chief Medical Officer, establishes and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to assure the provision of adequate, comprehensive services and will also monitor, evaluate, and improve performance of medical services through performance improvement program. Demonstrates proficiency in the knowledge of regulatory compliance based on, however not limited to the New York State Department of Health, Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services that relate to patient care and related services. Works with medical staff and administration to ensure high value and high quality of care is delivered to patients with a focus on improving the patient experience, improving the health of the population, and maintaining fiscal responsibility and will be a part of the multi-departmental approach in improving the case mix index. Serves as Primary Care Physician and provides direct patient care to a panel of sixty (60) residents. Provides coverage for Chief Medical Officer and Medical leadership for the facility on the occasion of CMO’s absence. Minimum Qualifications

Graduated from approved Medical School Completion of approved residency in the specialty and board eligible. Licensed to practice in New York State. Experience in the field of specialty. Acceptance to the Medical Board of Hospital. Department Preferences
