Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software applications that leverage foundational LLMs and are built with high performance and scalability in mind.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented software.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain the highest standard of code quality.
Contribute to the architectural design and decisions that shape the future of our AI platform.
Advance technical progress, gain buy‑in across the organization and ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the entire stack, and contribute to the on‑call rotation to ensure system reliability.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years experience writing high‑quality production software in Python.
Extensive experience writing asynchronous, high‑throughput software.
Extensive experience with FastAPI, Django, asyncio.
Experience with NodeJS, React, TypeScript and/or Express.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with real‑time distributed data processing systems like RabbitMQ, SNS, SQS.
Passionate about exploring emerging technology, and applying curiosity to your work.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making trade‑offs to deliver features today without compromising long‑term quality, and driving innovation.
Thrives in a collaborative, fully remote, distributed team environment and has experience working asynchronously.
Learns from mistakes, adapts quickly, and maintains a forward‑focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with foundational LLMs and understanding the various approaches to maximizing their efficiency.
Experience in regulated industries.
Previously worked in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments.
Strong preference to be Boston or San Francisco based, but open to remote within the U.S.
