The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and The Division of Cardiology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician‑Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
Responsibilities include serving as an attending physician in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), providing direct patient care for critically ill children with complex cardiac conditions. The position involves leading multidisciplinary rounds, managing complex hemodynamics and mechanical circulatory support, supervising fellows and residents, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Opportunities exist for clinical research and collaboration through the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute of Chicago.
Qualified candidates will have an M.D. or D.O. and be eligible for an Illinois medical license. Qualifications include Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology and completion of advanced training in cardiac intensive care. Applicants should have completed a categorical fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology with demonstrated expertise in critical‑care cardiology.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
The expected base pay range for this position is $250,000 - $453,900. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, department budget availability, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
