Full‑time Colorectal Surgeon position in Prescott, AZ. The role is part of a team of four general surgeons and focuses on surgical diseases of the small bowel, colon, rectum, and anus.
Job Summary And Responsibilities
Serve as subject‑area expert for small bowel, colon, rectum and anus surgical diseases.
Provide inpatient and outpatient management of colon and rectal surgical conditions and participate in on‑call general surgery.
Clinic caseload of up to 50 patients per week, with additional patient volume when on call.
Participate in outpatient call, inpatient call, and surgical procedures.
Handle both inpatient and outpatient consults.
Engage in teaching of medical students and potentially rotating surgical residents.
Perform abdominal and anorectal surgery for benign and malignant conditions, as well as colonoscopy and EGD procedures.
Call 6 days a month, occasionally more; moderate to high intensity, shared with partners and rotated daily/weekly.
Apply technical proficiency in open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures; demonstrate soft skills that promote excellent patient experience and teamwork.
Entry‑level or experienced physicians are eligible.
Job Requirements
Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery that are ACGME approved.
Current Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery (American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery).
Valid state medical license as MD or DO.
Valid DEA certificate.
