Position Overview The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead process and production engineering initiatives for machined and welded components in a low- to mid-volume job shop environment. This role will play a key part in developing new processes, designing fixtures, supporting automation integration, and driving Lean manufacturing improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering support for machining, welding, assembly, and process optimization. Design and implement fixtures and tooling using SolidWorks and related software. Provide manufacturing engineering support for quoting, process documentation, and quality control initiatives. Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes using 8D and other problem‑solving methods. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in production, quality, and supply chain to drive improvements. Support integration of automation and robotics systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, and custom systems). Oversee process controls to ensure product quality, ISO compliance, and traceability. Lead or contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing projects. Train production staff on new processes and provide technical mentorship. Ideal Background / Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Agricultural Engineering (or related discipline). • 10+ years of relevant manufacturing or process engineering experience. • Hands‑on experience with machining, welding, and fixture design (GMAW, CNC, grinding, or broaching preferred). • Strong understanding of GD&T, Poka‑Yoke, and risk‑based quality methods (ISO, PPAP, ISIR). • Experience supporting or implementing automation systems and robotics. • Skilled in SolidWorks, MS Office, and related CAD tools (DraftSight a plus). • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to interface with vendors, customers, and internal teams. • Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced job shop environment. • $95,000–$110,000 base salary (based on experience) • Annual productivity bonus based on company performance • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance • 401(k) with company match • Paid holidays and disability insurance (fully paid by employer) • Stable, growing company with strong customer partnerships • Long‑term opportunity with succession planning in place Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Industries Fabricated Metal Products #J-18808-Ljbffr
