They're now hiring an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer. In this role, you'll develop high-quality, scalable, and testable electrical systems at the core of their medical devices. You'll work cross-functionally with electronics, firmware, and mechanical design teams and directly contribute to the delivery of cutting‑edge technologies that restore autonomy to people living with disabilities and improve their quality of life. This is an early‑stage environment, where dedication, ownership, and collaboration are vital indicators of success, and your work will have a significant and long‑lasting impact. Key Responsibilities Gather product requirements and design input from cross‑functional groups and convert them into detailed electrical specifications. Develop electrical architectures and systems that satisfy product needs while adhering to FDA regulations. Partner closely with firmware, hardware, and software teams to build advanced medical devices. Create and execute verification and validation test plans. Prepare documentation outlining electrical system architecture. Qualifications Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in electrical engineering. At least 5 years of experience building low‑power embedded electrical systems. Strong background in wireless power transfer, low‑power FPGA technology, and/or high‑bandwidth radio systems. Familiarity with medical device development practices, including design controls, risk analysis, and regulatory standards. Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including collaborators across multiple continents and time zones. Skills and Abilities Skilled in designing, testing, and characterizing electrical systems for power and data transfer using simulation tools (e.g., Ansys) and lab instruments (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzer). Capable of architecting, implementing, and validating low‑power FPGA or ASIC solutions in Verilog/SystemVerilog. Experience with RF emissions, interference, and susceptibility concerns. Extensive hands‑on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and similar tools. Comfortable working with common microcontroller platforms (STMicro, Nordic, NXP) and communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART. Proficient in Altium Designer and quick‑turn PCB workflows. Adept at fine‑pitch soldering and rework. Able to write or adjust firmware to support hardware testing.
