Executive Director, Head of Pharmacometrics
The Executive Director will serve as the strategic lead for all pharmacometrics activities, overseeing modeling and simulation efforts across early to late-stage clinical programs. This leadership role is responsible for shaping quantitative strategies that inform study design, dose selection, and regulatory interactions. The ideal candidate brings deep scientific expertise, operational leadership, and a track record of team development within a dynamic R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute pharmacometric strategies to support dose optimization, clinical trial design, and decision‑making throughout the drug development lifecycle
Provide translational insight by connecting preclinical findings to clinical application in novel disease areas
Drive collaboration across clinical development, biometrics, regulatory affairs, and translational science teams
Guide the development of mechanistic and empirical models (e.g., PK/PD, QSP) to enable key milestones, including proof‑of‑concept and registrational studies
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of pharmacometricians
Oversee authorship and review of pharmacometric components of regulatory submissions and support agency engagement
Remain current with scientific advances and integrate innovative approaches to enhance modeling capabilities
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, or related field
10+ years of industry experience in quantitative clinical development
Expertise in PK/PD, QSP, and modeling software (e.g., R, NONMEM, MATLAB)
Strong leadership, regulatory, and cross‑functional collaboration experience
