Job Summary
You will be responsible for providing care for emergency patients presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions across a diverse population. This work includes assessing, stabilizing, and managing patients with varying acuity from minor/non‑urgent to critical/emergent.
Responsibilities
Assess, stabilize, and manage emergency patients.
Provide de‑escalation training and support.
Work 8, 10, or 12‑hour shifts with no on‑call time required.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
One year of related work experience preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Certifications & Licensure
Current State RN licensure required.
Current American Heart Association BLS required.
Post‑hire quarterly AHA Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 12 months at sites without L&D services.
Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
