Technical Recruiter
Responsibilities
- Meet with client groups to discuss headcount, new requisitions, hiring strategy, and interview feedback—acting as a partner rather than an order taker.
- Screen candidates who apply to requisitions.
- Source candidates, including those not actively looking.
- Recommend top candidates for interviews to client groups.
- Give tours to candidates before onsite visits.
- Attend interviews alongside client groups to provide additional insight.
- Oversee the offer process: initiate background checks, negotiate offer packages, and extend offer letters.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience; or associate degree and 2+ years of experience; or 3+ years of professional recruiting experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of technical recruiting experience.
- 2+ years of SGA recruiting experience.
- Experience with in‑house recruiting.
- Experience with high‑volume recruiting.
- Experience recruiting electrical, mechanical, and aerospace engineers.
- Experience recruiting skilled labor.
- Strong tenure with demonstrated success in recruiting roles.
- Full life‑cycle recruiting experience, from sourcing to closing.
- Comfort with reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on recruiting data.
- Ability to distinguish between the top 50% and the top 5% of talent within their respective fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in non‑standard recruiting methods such as cold calling, organizing networking events, and creating unique targeted sourcing campaigns.
- Comfortable interfacing directly with hiring managers, including director and VP level technical leaders.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both hiring managers and candidates.
- Ability to accurately present candidates to client groups without overselling.
- Ability to multi‑task and operate with little direction while remaining an active team member.
Additional Requirements
- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- This position is based in Redmond, WA (Seattle area) and requires on‑site full‑time work; hybrid and remote work will not be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay range:
Technical Recruiter/Level I: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Technical Recruiter/Level II: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case‑by‑case and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for long‑term incentives (company stock, stock options, or long‑term cash awards), discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. The company provides shuttle service from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday through Friday. A recruiting bonus plan is also available.
