Position Summary Jersey Precast is seeking a full‑time Production Leadman to work with a crew of 4‑6 workers manufacturing precast and prestressed concrete products. The role involves coordinating all stages of production—from setup and rebar cage assembly to pouring, curing, and stripping—while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to specification. The Production Leadman serves as a hands‑on leader who trains team members, ensures production targets and KPIs are met, and maintains quality standards in compliance with engineering drawings and industry practices. Key Duties & Responsibilities Crew Leadership Lead and direct a small crew (4 to 6 employees) in daily production activities. Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure production schedules are met. Foster a positive, team environment. Training & Development Train new and existing employees on proper procedures, tools, equipment, and safety practices. Ensure crew members are competent in all phases of production: form setup, rebar cage assembly, concrete placement, and stripping. Production Coordination Oversee the full manufacturing process: setup, cage placement, stressing (where applicable), pouring, curing, and stripping. Ensure all work follows approved shop drawings and specifications. Coordinate with Quality Control and Production Supervisors to address issues promptly. Technical Knowledge Read and interpret shop drawings / production tickets. Understand principles of prestressed concrete, stressing operations, and curing requirements. Verify that reinforcing steel, hardware, and concrete meet required tolerances. Performance Tracking Accurately record production data, including task durations and crew productivity. Monitor KPIs and adjust workflow to meet production goals. Safety & Housekeeping Enforce safety protocols and proper PPE usage. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area. Problem Solving Identify and resolve production bottlenecks. Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing. Prior experience leading or supervising a production crew. Ability to read and interpret engineering/production drawings. Strong understanding of concrete production processes and prestressing principles. Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills. Ability to foster teamwork and communicate effectively in a diverse environment (bilingual preferred). Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Lawfully documented to work in the United States (E‑Verify compliant).
