The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security protocols, IAM technologies, and best practices in securing enterprise environments. The position will provide leadership and expertise in monitoring and maintaining security policies and access controls for the District’s information technology (IT) systems, requiring on-site support hours.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Oversee the administration of user access controls, including the provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning of user accounts.* Manage and resolve IAM-related incidents, providing technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.* Train and mentor junior staff on IAM best practices and security awareness.* Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions to safeguard the company's digital assets and user access.* Develop and enforce IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate security risks.* Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and reviews of IAM systems and processes.* Demonstrates experience in incident response, security operations, and security monitoring.* Identifies the root cause of security incidents and provides recommendations for prevention.* Conducts digital forensics investigations to uncover the nature and extent of cyberattacks through log review and email systems.* Collaborate with other teams, such as network security and system administrators, to address security incidents* Responds to security incidents, including identifying the scope of a breach, containing the damage, and restoring systems* Implements and maintains security policies and procedures for desktop and mobile device usage* Monitors network traffic, logs, and security tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.) for suspicious activity* Stay up-to-date with the latest IAM technologies and security trends to continuously enhance the security posture of the organization.* Implements District and/or Board of Education policies and procedures.* Contributes to the development of security programs, including vulnerability management and threat intelligence programs.* Investigates and responds to security incidents and breaches, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and containment* Performs all other related duties as assigned in a fast-paced 24x7 environment**QUALIFICATIONS*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or a related field from an accredited college or university* Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, with a proven track record of successful projects and initiatives* Experience and exposure with security and administration of Microsoft 0365 suite, MIM, MS Defender, MS Entra ID, MS Endpoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and vendor integration systems* Experience with building cybersecurity awareness programs, communications, and phishing campaigns* Proficient in the administration of the Microsoft 0365 suite of tools and vendor integration.* Proficiency in relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent, demonstrating advanced expertise in cybersecurity practices and administration.* Experience in developing and maintaining directory service applications (Active Directory/ILM)* Experience with multiplatform desktops, servers, and mainframe security* Demonstrated experience with security audits and compliance for financial and human resource information systems.* Industry standard certifications in IT security are desired (but not required)* Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and security technologies.* Proficiency in project management mindset with duty delegation skills **WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of this position.
