Duct Mechanic

Responsibilities:

Supervised by Foreman

Perform quality and timely installation of HVAC systems

Follow company safety policies:

Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment

Know and follow the HAZCOM program

Present a positive image to customers, co-workers, and others on the job

Keep work area clean

Be willing to learn and take direction

Attend training to improve HVAC knowledge

Possess and properly use power tools such as:

Cordless drill

3/8 drill

Sawzall

Double cuts

Install ductwork and dampers independently

Under supervision, assist with installation of:

Fans

VAVs

RTUs

Air handlers

Condensers

Assist in training of Junior Mechanics and Helpers

Be able to read mechanical blueprints, submittals, and shop drawings

Qualification:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the HVAC trade

Work Environment:

Physical activities include:

Standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders

Walking and lifting 50 pounds or more

Forward and overhead reaching, pushing, pulling, and material handling

Kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, and squatting
