is seeking a
Senior Policy Advisor
to join its
Washington, DC office , with a focus on
national security and defense policy . This role is ideal for a policy professional who thrives at the intersection of legislative strategy, government relations, and regulatory advocacy—and is ready to lead on the most pressing national security issues of our time.
You’ll join a
cross‑functional, mission‑aligned team
of former government, military, and private sector professionals who guide clients through the full lifecycle of legislative and executive branch engagement, especially in defense appropriations, policy development, and regulatory authorization.
What You’ll Do:
• Serve as a senior advisor on national security and defense‑related policy issues
• Monitor, analyze, and influence federal legislation, budgets, and authorizations
• Interface with congressional and executive branch decision‑makers and agencies of jurisdiction
• Draft strategic communications, position papers, and policy briefings
• Lead client relationships and help shape policy agendas aligned with national security priorities
• Collaborate across departments in a full‑service firm environment
What We’re Looking For:
•
10+ years of experience
in national security/defense policy, with expertise in federal legislative or executive branch processes
•
Experience on Capitol Hill
(especially on national security committees) or
at an executive branch agency of jurisdiction
•
Bachelor’s degree required ;
JD or Master’s degree strongly preferred
• Demonstrated excellence in writing, communication, and policy analysis
