The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. This is a great opportunity for a smart, driven, and passionate public relations professional who’s ready to deepen their expertise in healthcare communications while contributing to work that makes a measurable business impact—not just media coverage.**Responsibilities:*** Contribute to the creation and execution of communications plans that align with healthcare and pharmaceutical client goals and business objectives* Manage projects from inception through delivery—including milestone communications, data announcements, and consumer-facing campaigns—with attention to budget, timelines, and cross-functional coordination* Lead the development of communications content involving technical/medical data (e.g., clinical study results, product safety language) and translate it into compelling narratives for target audiences* Serve as a day-to-day client contact, supporting calls and correspondence with confidence and professionalism* Collaborate across internal and external teams to ensure alignment and timely execution* Support and coach junior team members, helping to build their skills and contributions* Participate in media outreach and engagement efforts across traditional, digital, and social channels* Contribute to new business efforts through idea generation, research, and proposal development* Foster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners* Demonstrate Edelman’s values through ethical and inclusive behaviors and a commitment to continuous learning**Basic Qualifications:*** At least 2 years of relevant experience in public relations, communications, media, or related fields such as research, advertising, consulting, or publishing* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience**Preferred Qualifications:*** Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively* Experience developing communication plans and executing public relations tactics* Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills* Strong organizational and project management abilities with keen attention to detail* Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude* Prior experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical communications, particularly related to professional (HCP) audiences* Comfort working with medical language, clinical trial data, and regulatory/legal review processes* Experience with media outreach and understanding of integrated media strategies* Confidence in leading client-facing interactions and working with cross-functional teams* Interest in surgical innovation, data-driven storytelling, and complex health narratives* Ability to mentor junior staffIt started with one man’s passion to make an impact through stories…
