Job Description Full‑time faculty position in the Division of General Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

Establish a broad General Surgery practice at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Conduct independent clinical or laboratory research.

Provide care to complex surgical oncology patients at the Downtown Campus.

Contribute to the comprehensive growth of surgical oncology throughout the Medical System.

Educate medical students, surgery residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Board certified in General Surgery or currently in training in an accredited General Surgery fellowship program.

Clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity consistent with the mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Preference for candidates with fellowship training or previous experience in colorectal surgery.

Salary Salary Range: $346,354 – $567,168 (based on rank and years in rank). Actual compensation may vary based on departmental programs and variable compensation factors.
