Position Overview Crescent Biopharma is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Scientist, Immuno‑Oncology (IO) Research & Development. This individual will provide strategic and technical oversight for all aspects of Crescent’s novel immuno‑oncology drug discovery efforts from lead identification to preclinical development and commercialization. The ideal candidate is a creative and innovative scientist with a strong track record of leading the successful discovery and development of drug candidates across many biologics modalities, such as monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and peptides in the field of immunology and/or oncology.

Responsibilities

Contribute the strategic approach for target selection, antibody discovery and therapeutic approach to identify and develop novel targeted immuno‑oncology therapeutics.

Provide scientific guidance and mentorship to a growing research team.

Lead technological innovations to drive continual improvements and optimization of Crescent's antibody and bispecific programs enabling continued success as the organization grows.

Effectively manage work conducted at CROs and external partners.

Represent the company at scientific conferences and author high‑impact peer reviewed publications.

Deliver research and development reports to support regulatory submissions (IND/IMPD, information requests, amendments, briefing books, BLA/MAA, etc.).

Education & Experience

Ph.D. in Life Science with at least 5 years of combined R&D experience from the biotech/biopharmaceutical industry and world‑class academic institutions with demonstrated career growth and experience gained in growing R&D organizations. M.S. with equivalent experience will also be considered.

Deep experience in drug discovery and development in immunology and/or immuno‑oncology.

Successful leadership of antibody and bispecific antibody programs from discovery to preclinical development and commercialization.

Background in immunology and/or immune‑oncology field(s).

Intellectually and scientifically curious, and a collaborative member of multi‑functional project teams.

Extremely scientifically rigorous and creative and ability to create an environment where imaginative and constructive dialog can flourish, conflict is well‑managed and complex issues are driven to full resolution.

Hands on experience with regulatory requirements for the development and approval of novel therapeutics in oncology.

The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role at the Sr Scientist level is $147,000 – $163,000 and at the Principal Scientist level is $163,000–$181,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
