Position Summary
Locally owned credit and collections firm seeks a results-driven attorney to provide legal representation to clients in the recovery of outstanding debts and enforcement of judgments. The attorney will manage a caseload involving the initiation of civil actions, negotiation of settlements, and execution of post-judgment remedies including wage garnishments and other collection mechanisms. The position requires strong analytical, litigation, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Primary Responsibilities
Represent clients in all phases of collection litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trials Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to collection matters Evaluate account information and supporting documentation to determine appropriate legal action Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements with debtors and opposing counsel Enforce court judgments through applicable post-judgment remedies Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards Qualifications and Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in the
State of Missour i Willingness to travel statewide in Missouri for court appearances approximately two to three days per week Availability for an in-person or video conference interview Arkansas residency preferred
but open to Missouri residency Prior experience in creditor’s rights, collections, or civil litigation is strongly preferred Position may be structured as
part-time or full-time
based on qualifications and availability
