Hardware Test Engineer II Sigma Design is a product development, engineering, and manufacturing firm. Position Details

This position will be In-Office at our client's facility in Redmond, WA

Salary: $90,000 - 120,000

Primary Function The Test Engineer II is responsible for creating test specifications, implementing test systems, and providing independent test engineering support with some supervision for validation approaches.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities

Use product specifications to create basic test plans and document test results independently

Create and execute automated test plans to verify products meet requirements

Physical setup and deployment of test systems and equipment with minimal guidance

Work proficiently in both Windows and Linux systems

Develop basic script packages for test and data collection

Use and configure JTAG and similar test devices

Create and maintain test work instructions and flow diagrams

Actively participate in failure review processes including basic root cause analysis

Maintain and deploy software configurations in test environment

Communicate test requirements and results to teammates and stakeholders

Support manufacturing transfer activities for assigned subsystems

Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.

Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field

2-4 years of relevant test engineering experience

1+ years providing test support for opto, mechanical, and electrical consumer devices

Working knowledge of soldering techniques and electrical test equipment

Proficiency in Python programming; Linux experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret wire diagrams and PCB schematics

Experience supporting production line environments preferred

Strong technical communication and documentation skills

Work Environment Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
