The Division of Transplant Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a faculty member to join our rapidly growing pediatric transplant program. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments, with the potential for a surgical director role for highly qualified applicants. Candidates must be Board Certified in General Surgery, have completed an accredited Transplant Surgery Fellowship, and be eligible for a Texas Medical License. The ideal applicant will have experience in both adult and pediatric transplant surgery (kidney and liver), with experience in technical variant grafts, particularly through the use of in‑situ split procurement. Additional expertise in complex pediatric procedures such as vascular shunts and hemodialysis access would be welcomed. In addition to clinical excellence, successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, education, and scholarly activity. Faculty are expected to participate actively in the clinical practice and teaching programs at Clements University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and Children’s Health. Educational responsibilities will include training transplant fellows, general surgery residents, and medical students. A dedication to advancing clinical or basic research in transplantation is essential. UT Southwestern ranks among the top academic medical centers in the world. Our physicians provide care to patients at UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics as well as three other affiliated hospitals.
