Business Development Representative

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Business Development Representative to work remotely. This role's territory will be in San Francisco, CA. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for actively seeking and engaging customer prospects, cultivating relationships, and creating opportunities for Armstrong Flooring & AHF Contract business. The role involves establishing strategies to target potential clients and positioning appropriate AHF product solutions to increase revenue, customer acquisition, and market goodwill. The representative will create specifications within the Architect/Design community, End-users, and Flooring Contractors. This position requires 75-80% in-field travel, with 25% of that time spent on overnight stays. JOB DUTIES: Build and manage relationships with End Users, Architects/Interior Designers, Flooring Contractors, and other key buyers to establish trust and develop ongoing sales partnerships. Research customer needs and adjust sales tactics accordingly. Present, promote, and sell the company’s products and services to influence specifications and product selections. Identify new service opportunities to grow existing accounts and strengthen relationships. Reach out to new customers through networking, social media, and cold calling. Develop and engage in networks outside of Parterre to gather market intelligence. Create and execute marketing campaigns, events, and sponsorships to increase brand awareness and achieve sales goals. Collaborate with customer support and management during the specification and order process; communicate project details for successful implementation. Assist clients with budgeting and prepare formal pricing and bids for approval. Prepare sales projections and forecasts for team planning. Use CRM systems to update customer profiles and contacts. Assist management in establishing annual, quarterly, and monthly sales strategies and plans. Identify product gaps or areas for improvement. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Experience in outside sales with a diverse client base. Flooring product knowledge is preferred. Proven success in selling to large corporate clients. Knowledge of specifications, design phases, and construction. Strong understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions.
