CTG is seeking to fill a Supply Chain Specialist position for our client. Location: Baytown, TX. Duration: 12 months. Pay Rate: $51.50–$55.00/hour
Overview The Supply Chain Specialist will drive logistics optimization and continuous improvement across the Baytown site. This role manages supply‑chain improvement projects, identifies efficiencies, ensures compliance, and supports strategic logistics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead supply‑chain improvement projects and initiatives.
Develop and implement integrated logistics strategies and standards.
Identify optimization opportunities in cost, efficiency, and quality.
Manage logistics investment projects and transport modes (truck, rail, ship).
Ensure sustainability of improvements and alignment with business goals.
Promote logistics safety and compliance with environmental, safety, and distribution regulations.
Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field (MA/MS/MBA with relevant experience acceptable).
7–10 years in transportation, logistics, or supply‑chain roles.
Ability to obtain TWIC credential.
Knowledge of logistics compliance, safety, and core distribution processes.
SAP ERP and Business Warehouse experience.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (or certification within first year).
Excellent communication and change management skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
