POSITION TITLE: Summer Camp Lifeguard
DEPARTMENT: Camp Arnold
STATUS: Temporary/Seasonal, Exempt
PAY: $450/week - Room and Board (lodging and food) included

General Duties
Maintain a valid Washington State Food Handlers Card.
Attend and participate in assigned evening programs and spiritual activities.
Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters.
Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the end of the summer.
Any other duties as assigned by the Food Service Administrator or Camp Administrator.
Specific Duties Safety and Supervision
Enforce camp policies and procedures.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards for staff and campers.
Always ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and program conduct.
Coordinate and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion.
Weekly Responsibilities
Assist with all food service preparation as assigned by the Food Service Administrator.
Assist with meal service portioning as assigned by the Food Service Administrator.
Be familiar with quantity requirements for menu items and ready to take the lead on meal preparation and portioning if required.
Assist with all inventory procedures, making certain all food removed from stock room, refrigerators and freezer is properly accounted for and documented by those removing the food.
Coordinate your daily work schedule with the Food Service Administrator for efficient preparation of food.
Assist with cleaning and care of kitchen, all work areas and equipment.
Maintain safe work habits in accordance with all government regulations. Make certain that behavior of those in the kitchen area is always exemplary and in keeping with professional standards.
Work in harmony with all other cooks and food service staff relative to daily work schedules for the efficient operation of food services.
Assist in other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or Camp Administrator.
Lead daily devotionals for staff. This will be unstructured and open for being led by the Holy Spirit.
Assist staff leadership and encouragement as a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead.
Ability to operate telephone.
Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to access and produce information from a computer.
Ability to understand written information.

Retirement Plans Employer-funded Money Purchase Pension Plan (Defined Contribution Plan) 50% vested at 5 years eligible service time, employee funded voluntary 403(b) options.
Parental Leave Benefit will be one week (5 business days) of paid leave at the employee’s normal rate of pay for births, adoptions and foster placements.
Sick Leave 12 days annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after 3 months’ service time.
Paid Vacation 2 weeks annually accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. 4 weeks annually accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation eligible for use after 6 months’ service time.
Paid Holidays 13 designated holidays + 1 floating holiday per year
