Shipping Associate | PM Shift

Position Overview The Shipping Associate processes customer orders from around the world, ensuring final steps for accurate delivery are complete and all orders are provided to the carriers for same‑day shipping, satisfying our customers’ needs in a fast‑paced environment. This role handles any orders that produce errors or do not auto‑post. This is an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and handle errors on all orders that do not auto‑post or that need invoices or additional steps to be completed
Be well‑versed in carrier‑specific software programs such as FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL EasyShip, and demonstrate the ability to process orders correctly
Read order notes and determine the best next step in processing the order
Act with a high level of courtesy as a liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Accounts Receivable, and PDC in meeting customer requirements
Manually enter dimensions, weights, and post orders that do not fit on the belt system (large and oversized/non‑conveyable products) or items that ship out palletized
Complete re‑palletization, wrapping, and/or banding of product when necessary
Ensure truck logs are completed, upload necessary shipping documents, and collaborate with other departments for possible corrections
Perform carrier support by keeping the shipping cages clear, removing boxes to place on pallets, and emptying the shipping cages to avoid belt congestion; move cages to applicable carrier
Operate pallet jacks, pallet jack scale, PIV/forklift, stand‑on pallet jack, part mover, and pallet wrapping machine
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Read, write, and communicate in English
Basic computer navigation and typing skills
Ability to actively participate as a team member to meet departmental goals
Demonstrated ability to multitask and to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/management
Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success
Adapt to changes in software and processes quickly and accurately

Physical Requirements
Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motion
Capable of spending 8‑10 hours walking/standing on concrete
Regularly lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
Ability to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
Ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
Pallet Shipping
Use of pallet jack up to 60 lbs with heavier packages requiring team lift
Use of PIV equipment (Cushman cart, electric pallet jack, stand‑on pallet jack and Fort lift)
Compensation The starting base pay rate for this position is: $20.00. This position may also be eligible for shift, skill, and/or team lead pay differentials that will be in addition to the starting pay rate.
