FAR Inspections is a company with over 9 years of experience based in Reno, NV. We seek highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.
Independent contractors earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income and enjoy flexible schedules. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but effective time management and meeting deadlines are crucial.
Responsibilities
Complete exterior inspection typically in 5‑6 minutes.
Finish inspection within 4 days of assignment.
Determine occupancy and report general property conditions using a mobile application.
Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
Fill out the short form in the app.
Spend extended periods driving within the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with an internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage preferred).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check with a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection pays a flat rate. Rates vary by county and volume, typically equating to
$30‑$40 per hour . Depending on county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete 20‑500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week. Work is consistent month‑to‑month and you can earn more as you become established or cover a larger territory.
No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
