Learning Assessment Coordinator (FT) – CFRE23512AA
College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. We prepare students for a lifelong passion for learning on our 273-acre campus, which is home to nine associate degrees and a wide variety of professional and technical certificates. Many of these credentials prepare students to seamlessly articulate into the baccalaureate programs of our higher education partner institutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Tracks and manages student learning outcomes data. Collaborates with faculty to design, plan, and coordinate qualitative and quantitative learning assessment research projects that support course, program, and general education learning outcomes.
Maintains documentation of processes used for collection and analysis of learning assessment data, and periodically evaluates those processes to ensure validity and reliability.
Works with assessment and program review staff, faculty, and deans to ensure consistent and appropriate use of Assessment Management System.
Utilizes institutional reports and data extracts as part of assessment processes.
Performs statistical analysis of learning assessment results with a focus on equity in learning, using information from a variety of sources (e.g., ERP, assessment management system, learning management system).
Provides support for Higher Learning Commission and programmatic accreditation processes.
Prepares reports, presentations, and statistical information that summarize findings from learning assessment research studies.
Maintains consistent and confidential documentation and provides reports as required by supervisor.>\ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a research discipline that includes a strong background in research methods (required).
Master’s Degree in a research discipline that includes a strong background in research methods, survey research, and statistics (preferred).
Experience
Minimum three (3) years experience with demonstration of research skills applicable to a variety of common issues addressed in higher education (required).
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service in communications and interactions with students, faculty, office staff, and administrators in all areas of the college (required).
Excellent written, oral, and presentation abilities (required).
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently (required).
Windows-based word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and graphic presentation software experience (required).
Ability and willingness to quickly learn new tools and technologies (required).
At least two (2) years of experience in institutional research or learning assessment in higher education (preferred).
Teaching experience in higher education (preferred).
Experience with statistical analysis software (such as SPSS, R) (preferred).
Four (4) or more years of experience in learning assessment/planning/research in higher education with quality improvement principles and techniques (preferred).
Knowledge of one higher education MIS (Management Information System) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system (strongly preferred).
Working Conditions
General office environment.
Ability to work in an open environment with high level of visibility; ability to interact well with senior management and faculty.
Operate appropriate office equipment and use related computer programs.
This position requires a background check and drug screen.
Hybrid Remote Eligible Yes (4 days on campus, 1 day remote)
Hiring Range Starting pay begins at $66,487 based on experience. Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
