Overview The People Operations Manager supports and strengthens our people operations department. The role oversees employee benefits administration, payroll coordination, safety programs, timekeeping compliance, and employee relations matters including disciplinary actions and terminations.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related matters and coordinate with brokers and vendors.

Process benefit enrollments, maintain documentation, and deliver orientation sessions.

Liaise with the payroll vendor to ensure accurate processing and audit timecard submissions.

Provide guidance on employee relations, conduct meetings, and ensure compliance with policies and employment laws.

Design and oversee safety and emergency preparedness strategy, including crisis protocols and communications.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with payroll, finance, legal, and leadership on workforce planning and employee engagement.

Develop and implement performance evaluation processes and support training initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

2+ years of progressive HR experience with benefits administration and employee relations.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, HRIS, and timekeeping systems.

Strong knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, etc.) and payroll vendor coordination.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with discretion in sensitive matters.

Job Type Full-Time, Exempt

Salary $100,000 – $120,000

Work Location Hybrid – Houston, TX

Work Schedule 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday‑Friday. Occasional weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements Primarily sedentary. Exert up to 10 lb occasionally. Repetitive motion. Close visual acuity required for data analysis and computer work.

Travel 10–20% domestic travel by car and plane.
