Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship

40 hours/week; includes weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Description In this highly technical, fast‑paced, and rewarding position, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best care for patients. The role is expected to perform professional, clinical tasks to maximize appropriate pharmacotherapy, leading to optimization of patient care, with a focus on daily antimicrobial stewardship review and metric tracking.
Job Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Current or within 30 days of hire: CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, maintained every 2 years
ACPE IV certification
One year residency training (PGY1) with a minimum of two years acute‑care hospital experience as a clinical pharmacist
Preferred: Direct experience or certification in antimicrobial stewardship

About Methodist Charlton Medical Center Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314‑bed, full‑service, acute care teaching hospital serving Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County. The hospital offers a newly expanded emergency department, an renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, interventional radiology suite, and a Level III Trauma Center, among other specialties.
