Position Summary The Lead Clinical Nurse coordinates total care for a group of patients throughout their stay, achieves clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes, mentors and manages clinical staff, and serves as a clinical expert. The role assumes responsibility for overall unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
Position Details 40 hours/week; full‑time, benefitted.
Education / Experience
BSN is required.
If hired into the Clinical Coordinator role previously, enrollment into a BSN is required within 6 months of transition to the LCN role. Steady progress, defined as 9 credits/year, is required, with degree completion within 4 years.
At least three years of experience in the practice specialty is required.
Licensure / Certification
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Maryland.
Certification in clinical area of specialty preferred; if not current, shall seek certification within two (2) years of hire.
Certification in advanced life support specific to area of clinical specialty required (ACLS, PALS, or NRP).
Salary Range Minimum $46.57/hour – Maximum $72.18/hour. Compensation commensurate with equity and experience for similar scope and responsibility.
