Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Behavioral Health
Acadia Healthcare is a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services with 262 treatment facilities across 39 states and Puerto Rico. The CNO role leads nursing and behavioral health services at our River Place Behavioral Health facility in LaPlace, LA.
What you’ll do
Set vision for nursing practice and oversee delivery of safe, timely, and patient‑centered care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet residents’ physical and psychosocial needs.
Direct, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Lead strategic initiatives, manage census and acuity changes, and allocate resources effectively.
Develop, review, and enforce policies, procedures, and protocols to meet regulatory and quality standards.
Provide clinical leadership, set long‑term goals, and drive the department’s operational and financial efficiency.
Act as the role model for customer service and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 6 years of RN experience, 10+ years preferred; at least 3 years progressive nursing management.
Experience in inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health setting; prior CNO/DON experience strongly preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
