Role Overview As President of The Food Channel, you will be responsible for driving the company’s next phase of growth, overseeing operations, P&L management, and scaling the business across content, creator partnerships, commerce, and community. You will partner closely with the CEO to help execute strategic initiatives, realize revenue targets, and build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Growth
Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy aligned with the CEO’s vision, balancing content, commerce, and creator-led opportunities.
Identify and lead new business ventures (e.g., e-commerce, virtual culinary events, courses, creator monetization).
Oversee the product roadmap in coordination with the technology/product team to deliver an engaging, community-driven platform experience.
P&L & Financial Management
Own full P&L responsibility: drive revenue, manage costs, optimize margins, and ensure sustainable profitability.
Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Work with finance to define key operating metrics and KPIs (e.g., revenue per creator, content ROI, engagement metrics, churn).
Operational Leadership
Build, scale, and lead cross-functional teams across editorial, video production, creator partnerships, marketing, product, and operations.
Establish scalable processes, best practices, and KPIs to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with legal, copyright, and content licensing requirements across all channels.
Creator & Content Strategy
Design and implement a creator engagement strategy: recruit, retain, and monetize food creators.
Oversee content strategy and production, ensuring high-quality, original programming (e.g., short-form videos, guest chef network) that resonates with audiences.
Balance curated (aggregated) content with original content to maximize reach, quality, and efficiency.
Audience & Community Engagement
Grow and deepen The Food Channel’s community across digital platforms.
Leverage data and audience insights to guide content, product, and monetization decisions.
Design and implement initiatives to increase user LTV, such as membership, premium content, or creator-led commerce.
Partnerships & Business Development
Forge strategic partnerships (brands, culinary schools/institutions, media companies, sponsors) to drive revenue and scale.
Lead negotiations around brand integrations, advertising, sponsorships, and co-creation projects.
Explore M&A and investment opportunities in creator-economy, food commerce, or media spaces.
Brand & Marketing
Refine brand positioning for The Food Channel as both a trusted food publisher and a creator-powered commerce platform.
Oversee marketing strategy (content marketing, SEO, social, PR) to grow audience and monetize.
Ensure consistent brand voice, vision, and quality across all touchpoints.
Qualifications Experience
Minimum of 10 years senior leadership experience in digital media, content publishing, or creator platforms.
Proven P&L ownership and track record of scaling a digital business.
Experience with e-commerce, creator monetization, or online community platforms strongly preferred.
Leadership
Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience building and managing editorial, product, marketing, and operations teams.
Demonstrated ability to inspire creators, content producers, and employees.
