Join ActioNet, Inc. in San Diego, CA, for an Advanced Network Engineer role requiring a Secret clearance. Salary: $150,000.

Responsibilities

Plan and expand network infrastructure, modernize network securely.

Provide solutions for traffic congestion, infrastructure upgrades, routine troubleshooting.

Develop documentation and how‑to guides for C5ISR systems.

Deploy, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware/virtual infrastructure such as routers, switches, and monitoring devices used by the Fleet Marine Force.

Integrate network transport systems (USMC C4) for wide‑area connectivity (satellite, RF, troposcatter, tactical fiber).

Document solutions, blueprints, and diagrams for network issues and innovations.

Install hardware or software, create backups, monitor performance.

Configure, maintain, update, and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure, workstation, DNS, Exchange, etc.

Design, deploy and maintain Wi‑Fi networks for tactical deployments.

Basic Qualifications

Advanced network training and 4+ years network engineering experience.

CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DOD IAT Level 2 certification.

Experience with TCP/IP analysis and packet analyzer troubleshooting.

Cisco Certified Network Associate.

System administration on Windows or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications

Wireshark Certified Network Analyst or RCPE Professional Packet Analyzer Plus.

Cisco Certified Networking Professional or Cisco Certified Design Professional (Route/Switch).

VMware Certified Associate or Specialty.

Certification in a Network OS (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).

SolarWinds SAM Certified Professional.

Experience with scripting languages (Perl, PowerShell, Linux Shell).

Experience with DoD tactical WANs (RF, satellite).

Experience with instrumentation and data collection on OOB networks.

Experience designing and implementing modeling and simulation test tools.
