Responsibilities
Deploy, deliver and manage client consulting engagements
People management responsibilities over IAS Client Information Analytics Segment
Responsible for strategic oversight of key IAS data initiatives across benchmarking and plan performance
Oversees development of key IAS intellectual capital
Oversight of financial and analytics client projects, particularly as it pertains to the evaluation of alternative plan designs and creation of new paid leave of absence programs
Oversees maintenance of practice financial/analytics tools
Create strategic multi-year consulting plans to deploy necessary IAS services to all assigned clients including but not limited to marketing, implementation support, audit, current state assessment/operational review, benchmarking, policy review, alternative plan design analysis, etc.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders in support of client work
Attend lunch and evening events with clients and business partners to build ongoing relationships
Regular business travel throughout the United States
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of progressive experience in absence management, disability management, or life insurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Understanding of life/disability/leave insurance carrier and 3rd party administrator systems and reporting
Expert in analyzing financial performance and underwriting of life, disability and leave of absence programs
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with business objectives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
Understanding of Life and Disability group underwriting and funding arrangements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and a proven track record of delivering exceptional client service
Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interact with associates, clients and vendors at all levels of responsibility
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) with advanced ability to manipulate large spreadsheets, census data, benchmarking data, etc.
Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to absence management (e.g., FMLA, State Disability and Leaves, PPL/PFML, ADA).
Understanding of HR systems and tools, with a focus on absence management technologies.
Experience with data visualization programs (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and Alteryx preferred but not required
